LCE designed multiple restoration options for this site resulting in the implementation of 3,700 linear feet of off-channel tidal habitat, 1,100 feet of stream habitat, removal of two tide gates, placement of 213 pieces of Large Woody Debris, and the removal of 1,740 feet of levee. LCE developed a grading plan that focused on maximizing off-channel shallow water habitat. Work also included extensive removal of invasive plants and full-site restoration with suitable native plantings. Final grades and plant species were influenced by a study of a well-established adjacent reference site.
