Clear Creek Restoration

The primary goal of this project with CREST and Wahkiakum County was to replace a culvert that was a fish passage barrier on Clear Creek with a bridge and extensive roadway realignment and regrading to eliminate a blind corner on Elochoman Valley Road. Stream complexity and instream habitat were also enhanced as part of the design process. This was completed by adding large wood structures, habitat boulders, and a cold water refugia pool at the confluence of Clear Creek and the Elochoman River.
