Andrew was born in the great state of Alaska and grew up along the Columbia River in northwest Oregon. After graduating from Clatskanie High School, he received a Mechanical Engineering degree from Oregon State University and later became licensed in the structural branch of Civil Engineering. Realizing the value of working within his own rural community, he started Lower Columbia Engineering in 2001. He takes a practical approach to design that finds the balance between regulatory requirements and common sense. Andrew understands the complex requirements for design, planning, and permitting in various jurisdictions. He holds licenses in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and California. When not at work, Andrew prefers to be in the mountains or on a river with family and friends.
